Jeffrey M.
Cooper, Esq...

Has spent his entire career helping people who have been injured get the compensation they deserve. Driven by a passion to help people in need, and inspired by his father Gerald H. Cooper’s long history of legal victories, Jeff does not back down from what he believes
is right.

As a young lawyer, Jeff built his reputation handling underdog cases that other attorneys refused to take. He quickly learned that personal injury and medical malpractice claims can be a David versus Goliath battle. Going up against insurance companies and the large law firms they hire was daunting—but he also learned that is no better feeling than helping the Davids of the world win.

In Jeff’s first year of practice, he won a six figure verdict for a client who was accused of making a fraudulent claim, by one of the biggest insurance companies in the state. Since then, he has dedicated himself to becoming the best trial lawyer he can be, Despite two decades of litigation experience, he still carefully studies other successful trial attorneys, and uses that knowledge to build strategies and earn positive verdicts.

Over the years, Jeff has won large verdicts in difficult motor vehicle, wrongful death and medical malpractice cases. In 2013, he obtained one of the largest verdicts in the state at the time: Jeff secured $2,517,695.56 for the family of a motorcyclist who was struck and killed by a drunk driver. In 2021, Jeff won a  $4,200,000 jury verdict, the 98th highest verdict in the United States that year, after a client suffered a stroke during a minor routine procedure to remove a wart. In 2023, he won a $6,500,000 jury verdict for a client who lost her baby during a traumatic birth by proving that doctors should have performed a caesarean section.

Jeff is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA)

An invitation-only organization of the finest lawyers and judges in America. He was nominated as a fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA), another invitation-only organization that limits its membership to less than one-half of one percent of North American lawyers and judges. Jeff has been recognized by SuperLawyers (2008 – present), the National Trial Lawyers “Top 100” Medical Malpractice lawyers (Connecticut), the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, and has received ratings of 10/10 on Avvo and 5/5 on Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review.
